The World Health Organisation (WHO) is the originator, together with its Collaborating Centres, of the series of World Conferences on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion. The network of WHO Collaborating Centres for Violence and Injury Prevention are represented through the International Organising Committee.
The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) partnership with FPD to organize Safety 2026 in South Africa, reflects its commitment to advancing evidence-based strategies to prevent injury and violence. SAMRC will help shape the scientific programme and foster collaboration across disciplines to promote safer, healthier communities across Africa and globally.
