Cape Town welcomes thousands of international conferences and events each year and is committed to providing visitors with a safe and enjoyable experience.

To assist delegates attending Safety 2026, Alderman JP Smith, Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security for the City of Cape Town, has recorded a short welcome message outlining the City’s approach to visitor safety and providing practical advice for international visitors.
