Stronger Decisions, Safer Outcomes: The Policy Power of Data

Aligned with the 2026 World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion theme “Ubuntu: United for a Safer Future,” this pre-conference session brings together multiple CDC Foundation-supported programs – including lead poisoning prevention, drowning prevention, and Data for Health – to highlight the importance of evidence-based action for injury prevention. The event will showcase how data, partnerships, and policy engagement can drive safer outcomes. As part of the program, the Data for Health Data to Policy participants will present evidence-based, injury-focused policy briefs, including policy recommendations to improve health outcomes and prevent injury.
